The birth of your new baby is a time for celebration and the feeling of joy! Your baby may not be as you have imagined, but rest assured that your baby is more like other babies than different. You may be feeling afraid and uncertain, which is perfectly normal. Most parents experience this when they hear their child has Down syndrome. Take a deep breath and relax. Now is the time for you to get to know your baby and love each other.

Down syndrome is the most common chromosomal anomaly. Your child has had Down syndrome since conception, nothing you did or didn't do, before or during your pregnancy, caused this. To help you to make informed decisions regarding your child, we offer an abundance of relevant information about Down syndrome to help you to make informed decisions regarding your child. Please take your time in searching through our website, getting acquainted with our families and becoming more familiar with the links on Down syndrome. It is important to caution our new parents to be sure that the information you access is up to date and relevant to individuals needs today. We are here to answer any questions you may have. Accept no limitations! The future is bright. The first generation of children with Down syndrome who have benefited from early intervention and inclusive environments are opening new doors. People with Down syndrome are leading meaningful and productive lives. They are now graduating from school, attending college, and having fulfilling careers and relationships.
