DOWN SYNDROME: GUIDELINES FOR INCLUSIVE EDUCATION
Developed in 2021 by the National Down Syndrome Society (NDSS) and Down Syndrome Education International to address the education settings that support students with Down syndrome, covering the period from early intervention and primary education through secondary and through higher education, with the primary focus being K-12 students. The guidelines aim to improve the development and educational outcomes for individuals with Down syndrome from birth to adult life by providing educators, therapists, early interventionists, parents and school districts with a guide to evidence-based practices.
