World Down Syndrome Day at the Capitol

  • Texas Capitol 1100 Congress Avenue Austin, TX, 78701 United States (map)

Celebrate World Down Syndrome Day with advocates from across Texas! On Wednesday, March 19, 2025, individuals with Down syndrome, families, and friends will come together at the Texas State Capitol to make their voices heard. Participants will have the opportunity to meet with legislators, hear official proclamations, and connect with others passionate about advocacy and inclusion.

New to advocacy? No problem! There will be two Zoom trainings leading up to the Advocacy Day to discuss tips on connecting with legislators and an overview of key legislation being introduced this session. You do not have to be an expert on legislative policy to join. Legislators need and want to hear from families just like YOU.

Registration is free, but families are responsible for their own transportation and lodging. Questions? Please contact Jennifer Ford.
