Presented by Dr. Lina Patel, PsyD, and Dr. Deborah Fidler, PhD. Full Bios.
In this session, Drs. Fidler and Patel will explain how executive function (thinking skills like working memory, flexibility, problem solving, and inhibition) impact a person’s ability to learn and navigate daily activities in home, school, and work environments. They will also review the latest research on patterns of executive function strengths and challenges in people with Down syndrome. Take home recommendations will be discussed throughout the presentation, along with strategies for strengthening executive function skills in daily routines and activities.
This presentation is hosted by the GLOBAL Down Syndrome Foundation and is presented at no charge for GLOBAL members and $10 for non-members.
